Homeopathy works on the basis that given the right stimulus the body can overcome virtually any disease.
We are all capable of healing, sometimes the body just gets a little tired or stressed and ‘forgets’ how to heal. Homoeopathic remedies stimulate the body’s natural healing ability, reminding it how to heal. This is often described as ‘intelligent healing’.
Homoeopaths consider everything that might be going on for a patient. We are looking to find the root cause of illness. This is based on the idea that symptoms are not the ‘cause’ of disease, they merely show us that dis-ease exists within the body. They are the body’s way of warning us that all is not well and the body is attempting to restore balance.
Homoeopathic remedies do not overpower the system in the way some conventional medicines do. Instead they support the healing process (which is what symptoms are). For example, a pain in your ankle after twisting it is a ‘symptom’, it’s a strong message from the body to guide you, homeopathy can be used to assist the body with healing and support that process.
